Paul Feissner, Co-Conductor
Junior String Ensemble
Paul Feissner is currently a graduate student at Ithaca College seeking his Masters degree in Music Education. Mr. Feissner received his B.M. in Double Bass performance along with teaching certification from Peabody Conservatory in 2001. Following his Undergraduate education he taught elementary and middle school orchestra in Howard County Maryland for five years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities during this time he assisted state and local honors ensembles as well as teaching privately.
While in Maryland, Mr. Feissner performed for two years with the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra. Since returning to upstate New York, Mr. Feissner has performed with many ensembles at Ithaca College as well as several concerts with the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes.
At Ithaca College, Mr. Feissner has been fortunate enough to work with several of the undergraduate students in the music education program. Along with assisting Mr. Chollet in working with the Lab Orchestra, Mr. Feissner has been able to assist as a guest in several of the undergraduate methods courses. Mr. Feissner has also been active in rebuilding Ithaca College’s chapter of the American String Teachers Association.
