Send A Senior

A program to benefit our local financially disadvantaged senior citizens

Thanks to the generous companies that have donated tickets for this season:

Chemung Canal Trust Company
Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service
F.M. Howell and Company
Willowcreek Golf Club
The Radisson Hotel

As the 2008-2009 “The Start of a New Era ” concert season begins, we are excited to share with you an exciting program. Involving community leaders and businesses in our organization has been a longstanding goal throughout our history. We understand how important the arts are to the residents of the Twin Tiers, and how crucial it is to make sure they remain a prominent feature for years to come.

With the beginning of each season comes new goals and new ideas. We offer an important program, “Send-a-Senior.” The idea of this program is to allow senior citizens who normally could not afford to attend one of our concerts the chance to attend for free through the generous donations of area businesses. We are asking area businesses to consider purchasing single concert tickets at a 40% reduced rate of $15, or a full season subscription at a 52% reduced rate of $60. Each ticket purchase would be offered to our registered senior citizens so that they can enjoy an evening of great classical music performed by our area’s own professional orchestra. Donating many tickets or even just one will give a unique concert experience to a less fortunate community member.

In addition to supporting the orchestra and allowing less fortunate residents of our area the opportunity to experience the arts, each participant’s business name and contact information will be listed in each of our concert programs for the duration of the season. Our programs are seen by thousands of people over the course of our five-concert season. Not only will each business be recognized as a “Send-a-Senior” participant, but the business names will also be listed on our website (www.osfl.org) in a special business partner section with complete contact information.

Are you a buisness interested in making a donation?
Please call the office at 607-936-2873 or e-mail info@osfl.org.

Are you a senior that would like to take advantage of this program?
Please call the office at 607-936-2873 or e-mail info@osfl.org for more information or to sign up.

Each concert is an opportunity to relax, reconnect, or reawaken your spirit. Orchestra fans enjoy romantic evenings, introductions to the classics, and solace from life’s daily routine. We hope you consider taking part in a most fascinating project – our community’s own first-rate, professional symphony orchestra.

Please feel free to contact the orchestra office if you have any questions – 936-2873 or info@osfl.org.
