Hear “Storied Winds,” a trio embracing the notion that music speaks, featuring Lesley McClelland (oboe and English horn), Claire McKenney (horn) and David Resig (bassoon and contra bassoon). Music and narration for this unique instrumentation by Beethoven, Telemann, Wilder, and American composers.

Following the tradition of the Musicians’ Choice Chamber Music Series, oral program notes will be given by the musicians, interspersed throughout the performance. The short format program is presented in an intimate, relaxed setting without intermission.

Storied Winds is a wind trio that explores spoken word performance, embracing the notion that music speaks. The energy they bring to the stage is a direct result of their commitment to each other as friends and colleagues, their enthusiasm for combining music and literature, as well as the desire to unveil compositions that audiences may never have the opportunity to experience otherwise.

Fun for the whole family, kids under 18 are free with an adult ticket purchase.
