Stories with Music
July and August at a library near you!
In partnership with area libraries, Stories with Music promotes literacy among young children and students through the powerful connection of music and literature. OSFL musicians present a featured storybook set to music, along with other musical selections. Fun for all ages, Stories with Music offers a chance to get up close with the musicians of the OSFL, learn about their instruments, ask questions, and enjoy a free concert.
Halloween Concert

Step beyond the ordinary and into a musical world shaped by mystery, enchantment, and forces beyond imagination. Violinist Kinga Augustyn joins the OSFL for a mesmerizing evening featuring The Devil’s Trill, Tzigane, music from Harry Potter, and more.
Holiday Concert

Warm up your voices and celebrate the season with the OSFL and Chorus of the Southern Finger Lakes! This lively, interactive concert will feature plenty of opportunities to sing along with your favorite holiday music, plus selections from The Nutcracker, Sleigh Ride, and the world premiere of a new work by Avner Finberg.
OSFL & Youth Orchestra Side-by-Side Concert

Classical masterpieces meet music from anime and video games in this exciting side-by-side concert with the OSFL and Youth Orchestra. Featuring 2026 Hertzog Competition winner Timothy Suen, the program travels from Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, and Liszt to music from Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, The Legend of Zelda, Attack on Titan, and more.
Beethoven Tribute Concert

Experience the unmistakable drama and triumph of Beethoven in a season finale devoted entirely to one of history’s greatest composers. Pianist Eva Virsik and the Chorus of the Southern Finger Lakes join the OSFL for the Choral Fantasy, followed by the iconic four-note opening and exhilarating journey of Symphony No. 5.

Inspired by our region’s glassmaking legacy, Chrystallum brings together flute, oboe, bassoon, and piano for an imaginative program spanning centuries and styles. The concert will feature Ad Astra Per Aspera, a work inspired by Elmira native and trailblazing astronaut Eileen Collins, alongside music by William Grant Still and more.
New Beginnings Quartet
