A Sound Gift to the Community
Thank you to the community for support of this wonderful concert!
We look forward to Labor Day weekend in 2023 with your local professional orchestra, and community symphonic chorus!
The Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes will be collecting donations to benefit the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, specifically by providing food donations to the Corning Food Pantry. Please bring non-perishable foods to the event. For more information on what is collected, and what is most needed, see the section below regarding the Corning Food Pantry. You can also help us giving to the wider Southern Finger Lakes through the Food Bank of the Southern Tier in the section below. Sponsored by the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes and by Corning Incorporated Foundation. |

Fighting Hunger in Our Community1 in 8 people in our area are at risk of food insecurity, and 1/3 of all requests for food are for children. Hunger is a serious problem—but YOU can help!
The most impactful way to support local hunger-relief efforts is to donate funds. This is because the Food Bank receives reduced cost and surplus commodities, and we are a wholesale food purchaser with the ability to buy in bulk. While one can of soup costs a consumer $1 at the supermarket, the Food Bank can purchase multiple cans of soup with that same $1.
