Workshops & Master Classes
The OSFL invites guest artists and soloists to present master classes with area music students. Individual students are given the opportunity to play for the artist and receive feedback and coaching in an open classroom setting for all to learn and be inspired.
Violin & Orchestra Master Classes
April 29, 2022
Ukrainian born violinist, Solomiya Ivakhiv, worked with violin and viola students from Horseheads High School. She spoke about practice techniques and different ways to work through technical passages. Additionally, she worked with the orchestra from Elmira High School on ensemble playing. She also spoke about her musical education growing up.
These workshops were made possible in part by the QuickARTS grant program administered by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and funded by The Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, Inc.
