Featured on the program will be Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, which was written as he came to terms with his hearing loss and suicidal ideations. Presented by Maestro Toshiyuki Shimada Followed by "Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention" Presented by Tiffany Bloss, Executive Director of Suicide Prevention and Crisis Services "Talk Saves Lives" is a standardized education program that provides participants with a clear understanding of suicide as a leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what we can do in our community to save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe. The Pre-Concert Lecture and "Talk Saves Lives" will last 60 minutes.
